Electronic Barking Dogs Scare Away Intruders
One of the best ways to keep criminals from invading your home is by having a dog present. I like to believe my dog saved my life many years ago when an intruder tried to enter my home in the early morning hours.
Everyone’s heard the phrase about a dog’s bark being worse than his bite. In most cases that bark is enough to keep someone from invading the privacy of your home. It doesn’t matter what kind of bark, either. A prowler will be scared off by any barking dog, big or little.
Criminals don’t want to have attention directed at them. A barking dog is a little too much attention when they are trying to quietly enter a home.
My German Shepherd Venus was a gift from God and my protector so long ago when she scared off an assaulter with her bark. God gifted us with dogs to remind us of how we should be towards others. He offered them to us full of love, comfort, guidance, and especially protection. Dogs have been known to sacrifice themselves to protect the ones they have bonded with.
But not everyone is suited to own a dog. Maybe your lifestyle just can’t support the needs of a dog, but you would like unwanted visitors to think you have a dog in the house. There really are devices out there that will do just that.
One such product is called a Barking Dog Alarm System. It uses an electronic radar-wave sense control, which lets it detect motion through wood, brick, glass, even cement. When it detects an intruder within it’s range, it begins barking like an angry dog! No intruder is going to hang around to see if it is a real dog or not.
Of course the advantages of having an electronic barking dog rather than a live barking dog are in the long term cost. You pay a one time up front fee for the electronic dog. Compare that cost to a real live dog. You don’t have to buy food, pay for vet bills, have it groomed or board it when you’re out of town. In fact, you can leave town knowing that your electronic dog will be guarding your home until you return.
You will have to buy back-up batteries after the initial cost, but that’s a small price to pay for peace of mind. You also don’t have to take it for walks, or pick up poop or buy new plants that have been dug up. So all in all, if you are not a dog lover or just can’t have one in your life right now, this may be the way to go. In these trying times when some people are looking for illegal ways to acquire money, it is smart to have whatever means you can find to protect your home, your loved ones and yourself.
And if you don’t want the bark, there is also the option of an alarm or chime to announce a visitor or intruder.
However, in spite of the cost and sometimes inconvenience of owning a dog, I would never be without one. I’d like to believe I’m here today because of a dog named Venus.
