When you take a walk with your dog, you shouldn’t have to be worried about anything and especially shouldn’t have to be afraid of people, but sometimes people are bad and they try to do things to other people. Some dogs will not allow you to do anything to their owner or any family member, but some are just too small and cute, and are not really the kind of dogs that can protect or defend. Whether your dog is tiny and looks like it runs on batteries, or huge and seems like it could be a pony, YOU should carry pepper spray.

These pepper sprays come in key chains, lip stick cases, and larger sizes, and can normally spray a stream of at least six feet, and the larger ones can go sometimes ten to fifteen feet depending on the model and size. There are also Pepper Gels and Pepper Foams that are more intense because they are not a liquid, but are actually a foam or gel that will cover the whole face of the person getting sprayed, and Yikes! That’s no fun, and they will not be having a good day after a blast such as that, to the face!
It’s too bad that we cannot just quietly walk our dogs with no interruptions or hassles. But these days there are many people out there who are robbing, mugging, even raping and murdering, and we need to be protected with some sort of self defense items. These are a good alternative, and everyone should have one these days. Hopefully you will never need to use it, but it couldn’t hurt to carry one in your pocket for the outside chance that something does happen!
